ALANTE Real Estate would like to offer a warm welcome to Plymouth’s newest locally owned business, Uva Wine Bar!
Uva, which means grape in Italian, is the first self-serve wine bar on the South Shore and we’re so excited they chose Plymouth as their home! Uva is co-owned by Katy & Michelle both of which live in Duxbury. We spoke with Michelle & Katy during their Grand Opening last night to gain further insight about the concept and what brought them to opening such a unique business.
While speaking with Michelle, I asked her why the duo chose Plymouth as the home for their new business and she explained while in the search process for the perfect location, they came across the location at 46 Main St. Michelle went into further detail behind the concept of their new business and explained the concept came to life while both Michelle and Katy were on vacation in the Cayman Islands. They had entered into a self-serve wine bar and thought to themselves “We could definitely do this at home, there is nothing like it!”.
So let’s talk wine… the bar starts with white wines such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio, working it’s way through the sweeter wines and into Red Wines. One side of the bar is consumed with the self-serve dispensers and is so beautifully displayed. Each wine comes with an explanation and a rating on several features including sweetness, how bold it is and exactly where it stands with tannins, etc. There is sure to be something for everyone at Uva! Not a wine drinker? That’s ok! Uva offers a collection of local craft beers as well!
Now onto the food…
Uva offers a plethora of options in building your own custom charcuterie board. This includes, meats, cheeses, crackers (with gluten free options) and desserts! All you have to do is let them know the number of servings and bring your order form to the bar!
I enthusiastically ordered a charcuterie board filled with Proscuitto, Cheddar Cheese, Goat Cheese, Marcona Almonds and an assortment of crackers. Each board comes with an assortment of crackers, mustard, honey and fig spread as well which was delicious!

The decor is so wonderful and welcoming; perfect for the brightness of spring/summer and the cozy days of fall/winter. Uva Wine Bar is located at 46 Main St in Plymouth. Their hours are as follows;
Monday – Thursday 3pm-10pm, Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 2pm – 11pm and Sunday from 3pm – 9pm.
